  • Product Description: Gung-Ho, aka, Mr. LaFitte, was one of my childhood heroes (yes, most of my heroes were cartoons/toys)! LaFitte was G.I. Joe’s first Marine, a bareknuckle-brawling, knife-fighting, jungle warfare specialist. I was so curious about his electric blue chest tattoo (the one that changed size, design, and placement somehow over the years), his epic fashion sense, the baby blue tactical vest, those baby blue camo fatigues… his affinity for colored hats?! Plus, when I found out through a G.I. Joe PSA that he supported skateboarding, especially women skateboarding, I officially knew Mr. LaFitte was someone worth idolizing. Cut to today, when some high-ranking officers at G.I. Joe contacted me to design a Gung-Ho pro model for Super7 x StrangeLove, I knew just what to do—the art direction was all there in those PSAs!
